The short story: UC Davis gymnastics posted a season-best score on beam to kick-start an outstanding showing that saw the Aggies post their best score this season holding off San Jose State to take home the victory at Sunday's tri-meet hosted by the Spartans.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Amelia Moneymaker had her best all-around performance, winning with a score of 39.400
- Moneymaker took first and posted a 9.900 on bars, beam and floor to set a foundation for the Aggies that helped them come away with the win
- With a 49.250 the Aggies scored a season-best on bars, and a huge piece to that success was the season-high score of 9.875 posted by the second-place finishing Isabella Fitz-Gerald
- On beam, with a season best 49.150 the Aggies opened the meet with a strong team score
- Jadyn Wakita and Megan Ray tied for third with 9.875 to go along with Moneymaker's 9.900 to give UC Davis a three inside the top three
- On vault, Keanna Abraham took first with a score of 9.825, with Ray coming in at third with a 9.750
- Abraham also posted a top three finish on floor, scoring 9.800 to join Moneymaker inside the top three
