The short story: Amelia Moneymaker's career-high tying mark of 9.925 on floor, combined with a top three Aggie sweep on floor and strong showings on vault and beam sent stingers down in the UC Davis gymnastics dual meet win over Sacramento State.
Â
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Moneymaker took first on floor with her 9.925, not just tying a career-high but setting the highest mark by an Aggie in any rotation this season
- The Aggie all-around gymnast posted top three finishes on vault and beam to combine for a total score of 39.275, giving Moneymaker the win in all-around
- On floor Keanna Abraham posted her second-straight 9.900 to take second and Megan Ray hit a 9.875 for the clean sweep of the top three by Aggies
- Ray vaulted to a 9.850 to take first in that event, with Abraham finishing second with a score of 9.825
- Cady Chiu, taking the lead-off spot on beam for the first time, scored a career-high posting 9.800 to finish third
- On bars, Moneymaker's 9.750 (third) and Isabella Fitz-Gerald's 9.700 (fifth) led the way for the Aggies
