THE SHORT STORY: UC Davis battled through a high-tempo road matchup but fell 95-79 at Colorado on Friday night. The Aggies kept the margin tight through the first 20 minutes, trailing just 43-39 at halftime, while the game had four ties and four lead changes overall. Marcus Wilson led with career-high 21 points, while Niko Rocak also added a career-high 19 on an efficient 6-for-7 shooting line. UC Davis scored 42 points in the paint and got 18 bench points, but Colorado shot 59.6 percent from the field and helped the Buffaloes pull away with a 52-point second half.

- Marcus Wilson paced UC Davis with 21 points on 8-for-15 shooting, including 3-for-5 from deep, and added two assists.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Colorado opened with early momentum, jumping to a 10-0 start behind a fast-paced attack and a three from Felix Kossaras.
- UC Davis answered with a 10-2 run highlighted by a Wilson 3 at 15:04 and a Chappell triple at 13:54 to tighten the margin.
- Wilson kept the offense moving, adding a fast-break layup and another three at 3:16 as the Aggies continued to trade baskets.
- Brayden Fagbemi's three at 1:46 cut the deficit to 39-37 before Colorado closed the half with late free throws.
- UC Davis trailed 43-39 at the break.
- UC Davis' offense continued to carry their momentum they had at the end of the first half, with Rocak hitting a three at 17:53, and his second triple at 16:08 making it just a two-point game.
- Wilson's layup at 14:01 pulled UC Davis level at 52-52.
- Sevilla's steal and jumper at 12:03 would eventually push the Aggies ahead 58-57.
- UC Davis extended that lead to four points at the 9:48 mark with free throws from Wilson.
- Colorado however responded with a series of makes, including a Holland three at 8:13, to regain control.
- Despite inside scoring from Cooper and another surge by Wilson, the Buffaloes' second-half shooting advantage held. Colorado finished the half outscoring UC Davis 52-40.
