DAVIS, Calif. — UC Davis men's soccer will compete in the Mountain West Conference beginning with the 2026-27 academic year, as the league announced the addition of men's soccer and men's swimming and diving to its sponsored sports portfolio.
The inaugural Mountain West men's soccer lineup will include the United States Air Force Academy, University of California, Davis, Grand Canyon University, San José State University, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and Utah Tech University.
The Mountain West becomes the first NCAA Division I conference to add men's soccer since the Ohio Valley Conference in 2023 and the Sun Belt Conference's reinstatement in 2022.
UC Davis men's soccer transitions to the Mountain West following a successful tenure in the Big West Conference that included two tournament championships in the last five seasons and, most recently, a berth in the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
