The short story: On day one, Polina Marakhtanova and Mika Ikemori advanced to the next round of doubles after defeating their Washington State opponent in the first round.

·      The pair of Mika Ikemori and Polina Marakhtanova won their first-round match and move into R32 of doubles on day 2.
·      Sophia Sappa and Aileena Hu ended their doubles run in the first-round.
·      Maya Youssef and Vivian Gallaway ended their doubles run in the first-round.
·      Isabella Bringas and Kaia Wolfe ended their doubles run in the first-round.

HOW IT HAPPENED
·      In the morning session, Ikemroi and Marakhtanova opened strong, defeating their Washington State opponents 8-3 to advance to the next round of doubles play on day two.
·      Sappa and her partner Hu battled in a competitive match but ultimately fell 8-5 to their University of Portland counterparts, concluding their doubles run.
·      First-time partners Youssef and Gallaway showed early chemistry on the court but came up just short in their matchup against Portland, falling 8-5 to wrap up their doubles competition.
·      Meanwhile, Bringas and Wolfe faced a tough Santa Clara pairing, dropping an 8-3 decision to close out their tournament run in doubles.
·      Singles action kicks off on day 2 at the ITA Regionals.
