DAVIS, Calif. — UC Davis student-athletes upheld their academic prowess by achieving a cumulative 3.23 GPA during the winter quarter. This figure ties the department's sixth-highest quarterly GPA since transitioning to the Division I era in 2007.
The Women's team's average GPA was an impressive 3.31. This quarter ties for the 6th highest in the Division 1 era. The men also held a notable 3.10, which also manages to tie for the 6th highest in the Division 1 era.
71 student-athletes maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout the winter quarter, this represents 11.16 % of the student-athlete population. A staggering 263 Aggies managed a 3.50+ which equates to just over 40% of the population. Even more impressive 428 Ags, with above a 3.00 quarterly GPA, representing well over half of the student athlete population at 67.3%.
Women's Gymnastics led the way for the second quarter in a row this year, with the highest overall team GPA, a 3.56 which is which is the 2nd highest GPA for the program in the Division 1 era.
Men's Cross Country had the highest men's team quarterly GPA at a 3.22 making it their 8th highest GPA in D1 program history.
Also to note this quarter, Men's Golf had the program's 5th highest team GPA of the Division 1 era (3.12), Men's Water Polo had the program's 4th highest team GPA of the Division 1 era (3.20), Lacrosse had the program's 5th highest team GPA of the Division 1 era (3.40), and Equestrian had the program's 2nd highest team GPA of the Division 1 era (3.49).
