THE RUNDOWN (GAME ONE)
  • Leah Polson worked a walk to become the Aggies' first base runner of the game and came around to score the first run of the ballgame when Sarah Nakahara legged out an infield hit.
  • The visitors answered with a four-run rally in the top of the second. UC Santa Barbara banged five hits - including a pair of doubles - to take a 4-1 lead.
  • Sawai was chased out of the game after 1.2 innings of work and Erin Thrope would hand the ball over to Sarah Reineman.
  • The Gauchos tacked on two more runs in the top of the third to extend the lead to 6-1.
  • Reineman was relieved in the fourth and Caroline Grimes was the next Aggie to toe the rubber.
  • Grimes worked out of the jam, inducing two ground outs and a fly ball to hang a zero.
  • Sarah Starks ripped a base hit up the middle to plate Nakahara in the home half of the fourth, cutting the lead to four.
  • Jazzy Santos' solo shot in the fifth restored the Gauchos' five-run advantage.
  •  UCSB pushed one more run across in the seventh to solidify the final score line of 8-2.

THE RUNDOWN (GAME TWO)
  • Santos mashed her second home run of the day in the top of the first, giving her team an early 1-0 lead.
  • The Aggies snatched the lead with two runs in the home half of the second, using base hits from Sydney Polli, Grace Kilday, Dethlefson, and Polson to spark the rally.
  • Maddie Grissom added to the lead when she hit a rocket over the center field wall for a solo home run to extend the lead to 3-1.
  • UCSB replied with a solo homer of its own in the top of the fourth when Ashley Donaldson left the yard.
  • The Gauchos ultimately scored twice in the fourth to knot things up at 3-3.
  • Two hits and a UC Davis error allowed the visitors to post another two-run inning, chasing Brown out of the game in the process.
  • Reineman - making her second appearance of the day - ended the threat with a pair of strikeouts.
  • The back-and-forth contest continued in the bottom half of the fifth when Tatum Wentworth lifted a sacrifice fly to score Polson – who led off the inning with an infield single. Starks delivered with two outs, flaring a base hit to right to bring Bri Weekes and tie the game at 5-5.
  • UCSB regained the lead in the sixth and went on to score two more insurance runs in the top of the seventh to earn the 8-5 victory.
