The short story: UC Davis concluded the 2024 Big West Women's Golf Championship with a 4^th place finish. Abby Leighton's steadfast performance propelled her to an impressive fifth-place standing, anchoring the Aggies' efforts all-week. During day two, Leighton was the top Aggie performer, sitting at even par as she is tied for fourth. Leighton's efforts highlighted an Aggie lineup that included two top-10 competitors after day two, and an entire lineup that was within the top-35 leaderboard, as the Aggies found themselves again in third place after the second set of 18 holes. On day one the Aggies found themselves in third place, and were eight shots behind the leaders of Long Beach State. Leighton led the group of Aggies which included four finishers within the top-20 on the individual leaderboard.

FINAL TEEBOX (DAY THREE)

• Leighton for the third straight day was the top performing Aggie, carding three birdies to cap off a 1-over 73
• UC Davis finished the day as a team at 19-over
• The Aggies combined for 19 birdies in the final round
• Joining Leighton in the scoring, was Lauren Calderon tying for 12^th, Vani Karimanal tying for 19^th, and Skyler May tying for 25^th
• The Aggies 4^th place finish was the best since the 2021 season

IN THE FAIRWAY (DAY TWO)

• Leighton was brilliant again, carding three birdies as she continues to be the best scorer for the Aggies on par 4s and 5s
• Calderon and May were equally impressive, each ending the day at 2-over 74
• May bounced back with a consistent performance including 14 pars
• Calderon matched Leighton's birdie efforts herself, carding three with two of them coming on the back-nine where she was able to birdie at the turn on hole 10
• Vani Karimanal found success on the front-nine capping it off with a birdie and delivered a 5-over 77 on the day
• Leighton and Calderon account for the pair of Aggies within the top-10 as Leighton is tied for 4^th, and Calderon is tied for 8^th
• Karimanal, May and Marina Mata are tied for 14^th, T17^th, and T33^rd respectively

FIRST TEE (DAY ONE)

• Leighton showed out for the Aggies in day one, as the former All-Big West selection slotted in tied for 9^th place
• Leighton started her day with a birdie and proceeded to collect one on hole 11 to finish at 3-over 75
• Calderon and Karimanal followed right behind, as both tied for 12th after day one
• Calderon began her day with three birdies on the front-nine and paced the field for the early portion of the day
• Karimanal and Mata dominated the course with their consistent par efforts, as both ranked tied for 3^rd in the field in pars made on the day
• The pair also had the lowest average score on par 3s
• Mata finished the day tied for 19^th and the final Aggie rounding out the group was May who is tied for 29^th after an 8-over 80
