IRVINE, Calif. — Sophomore Braydon Wooldridge notched two extra base hits, but the UC Davis Aggies fell to the No. 19 UC Irvine Anteaters 6-1 Saturday.
With the loss, UC Davis dropped to 9-9 on the season and 0-2 in Big West games.
Wooldridge's two extra base hits were the highlight of a 2-for-4 day, and included two doubles and an RBI. Junior Alex Gouveia put together a noteworthy performance as well, going 1-for-4 with a double.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Aggies were trailing 1-0 in the fourth inning when they first put runs on the board. UC Davis got on the board thanks to Wooldridge's RBI double with one out.
UC Irvine then scored five times over the remaining five innings to break the tie and grab the 6-1 win.
