DAVIS, Calif. — UC Davis fell short today in their competition versus San Jose State, placing second overall with a 195.275.
 
The Aggies started their day off on vault with some strong performances overall, helping to lead them to their first 49.000 on the event this season. Freshman, Jadyn Wakita set a new personal best for this season on the event scoring a 9.750 as well as Anna Holtan scoring a 9.600. The top scorer of the day for the Ags was Megan Ray who secured a 9.875 tying for first place.
 
Onto bars, Emma Otsu scored a 9.775 for the Ags making her the leading scorer on the event for UC Davis. Tied for fourth from the Aggies was Jadyn Wakita and Amelia Moneymaker with a 9.750, rounding out the team's score on the event with a solid 48.000.
 
Up next in the rotation was beam where we saw some solid sticks. Ava Scafani and Amelia Moneymaker tied with a score of 9.850, making it Moneymaker's season best on the event and Scafani's second best of the season. Trailing not far behind was Ayumi Oshiro with a 9.775 to round off the Ags beam score as a 48.975.
 
Finally the Aggies dominated on floor setting multiple personal bests for the season. Keanna Abraham was the top scorer for the Aggies tying for the first overall spot with a 9.925, making it a personal bets for the season. Following right behind was Amelia Moneymaker crushing her previous personal best this season with a 9.900. Speaking of crushing personal bests not far behind was Anna Holton who scored a 9.850 to place her in the top 5 scorers.
 
The Aggies will return to competition March first on the road versus Boise State and Minnesota in a tri-meet at 6 P.M.
