Box Score DAVIS, Calif. — UC Davis won their second match of the weekend at home. The Aggies took down conference opponent UC Irvine 4-3 at Marya Welch Tennis Center this afternoon.
 
The Aggies began the day in the doubles competition winning two of the three matches to take the point. Arianna Stavropoulos was joined by Mika Ikemori in doubles play taking down Emily Fowler and Carolyna Fowler 6-1 on court one. The second doubles win came from court three where duo Michelle Zell and Carly Schwartzberg defeated Anteaters Amanda Perez and Asha Gidwani 6-4.
 
The Ags secured the rest of their points in singles play. Stavropoulos took down her opponent, Jenna Schlatter, at court one winning in straight sets 6-2, 6-1. Ikemori also brought in a singles point for the Ags, battling her way back on court two after losing the second set she ultimately secured the tiebreaker set 6-4, 1-6, 7-6 (3-0). The final point of the day came from Zell on court three who also battled back after losing set two, beating out UCI's Asha Gidwani 6-1, 4-6, 7-6 (1-0).
 
UC Davis is back home again next weekend Friday February 23 and Saturday February 24 versus University of the Pacific and Saint Mary's.
