HOW IT HAPPENED

The Cardinal started strong by scoring three goals in the first quarter, the first by sophomore forward Lauren Masters in the sixth minute, the second by redshirt sophomore midfielder Sophia Parker in the seventh minute, and the third by junior forward Rylie Wollerton in the 12th minute.

UC Davis was awarded their first penalty corner in the second quarter giving them an opportunity to make something happen but were unable to.

Louisville's fourth goal came in the second quarter off of a penalty corner by senior forward Filippa Niebuhr in the 25th minute.

Aggie Liselotte Koop scored late in the second quarter off of a great pass by freshman forward MK Lutz making this her eighth goal of the season.

UC Davis decided to switch goalkeepers and put in sophomore Emma Giesting for the remainder of the game.

Two different Cardinal players were given green cards in the third quarter giving the Aggies a chance to make a run on offense, but they were unfortunately unable to capitalize on it.

Louisville scored two more goals in the third quarter both off of a penalty corner scenario, the first was by junior midfielder Izzy Bianco in the 43rd minute and the second by Lauren Masters in the 44th minute.

The Aggies were a man up after a yellow card penalty on a Cardinal player and were able to capitalize to score a goal by sophomore forward Katie Kim in the 51st minute making the final score 6-2.
