Davis, Calif. — What a way to kickoff the 2024 season, as the Aggies take home the victory versus Sacramento State this past Sunday at University Credit Union Center. The final score from the teams was 194.875-193.125.
 
The Ags opened up the meet on vault and we saw strong performances across the board. Emma Otsu and Keanna Abraham had identical scores of 9.825 helping set the pace for the rest of the meet.
 
We saw a great effort on bars from last year's freshman of the year winner Amelia Moneymaker with a 9.875. Following close behind with a 9.800 was junior Ava Scafani.
 
The Aggies took the win on beam with an overall score of 48.575. Emma Otsu placed first on the event with a score of 9.825 with Moneymaker and freshman, Ayumi Oshiro, following closely behind with a 9.750 and a 9.725 respectively.
 
Aggies dominated on floor taking the top 3 spots. Abraham secured top honors finishing with a 9.900. Moneymaker and NCAA regional qualifier, Megan Ray, tied for second with a 9.875 following closely behind.
 
The Ags will head far north up next, where they will take on MPSF opponent Alaska Anchorage both Friday, Jan 19 at 8 p.m. as well as on Sunday, Jan. 21 at 3 p.m.
