Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 DAVIS, Calif. — UC Davis Women's Tennis had a stellar first home match of the season taking back-to-back wins on Saturday. The Aggies faced off against the University of San Francisco early in the morning and took the win winning 5-2 versus the Dons. They then headed into the afternoon to take on Jessup University where it was a clean sweep 7-0.
 
The matchup against the Dons had some notable moments. Freshman Mika Ikemori came back from being down 4-6 in her singles match to win the set against USF's Erin Richardson. Returners Arianna Stavropoulos and Carly Schwartzberg as well as Michelle Zell won their singles matches in straight sets taking down their opponents. The Ags secured the doubles point after winning their first two matches, leaving the third match unfinished.
 
Into the afternoon the Aggies continued their successful day taking home every point up for grabs. Due to Jessup's short roster, they didn't compete in 3 doubles nor 6 singles automatically allotting the point to the Ags. However, UC Davis still came out on top winning each singles match and doubles match they competed in. We saw Sophia Sappa's first appearance of the season after just recently joining the Aggies, defeating Olivia Gutierrez of Jessup 6-1,6-0.
 
Their next match takes place Feb. 2 in Santa Barbara for their first conference match of the season versus UC Santa Barbara.
