Box Score DAVIS, Calif. — Once again entering singles competition with a one point advantage, the Aggies could not keep the momentum rolling as the Mustangs won four of the six singles matches to secure a narrow 4-3 Big West win. 

The Michelle Zell and Carly Schwartzberg partnership won its fourth straight doubles set, while Yana Gurevich and Arianna Stavropoulos teamed up to provide the clinching set win.

Clearly unshaken from the doubles outcome, Cal Poly (10-7, 4-2 Big West) rattled off four consecutive straight set singles wins to defeat the Aggies. 

Michelle Zell and Olive Maunupau competed to the end, adding on two additional points for UC Davis (7-11, 2-5 Big West).

UC Davis has a chance to bounce back against a spiraling UC Riverside this Wednesday at the Marya Welch Tennis Center. It has been a difficult season for the Highlanders (2-11, 0-6 Big West), who will enter the contest with an eight-match losing streak in tow. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
