MARICOPA, ARIZ.– The UC Davis women's golf team is tied for fifth place after two-rounds of the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic. The Ags have four players in the top-50 and carded rounds of 287, and 311 to finish the day with a two-round score of 23-over 598.
 
It was a dual effort as 
Naomi Danner and 
Skyler May both finished the day both tied for 17
th. Danner carded six birdies in her first-round to post a score of 3-under 69, but posted a second-round score of 7-over 79 to finish 4-over 148. May went for four first round birdies to card a 4-under 68, but posted an 8-over 80 second round score to finish the day 4-over 148 as well.
 
Another pair of Aggies found themselves tied up. This time it's freshman 
Lauren Calderon and sophomore 
Abby Leighton who are tied for 34
th. Calderon carded rounds of 74 and 79 to finish with a two-round score of 9-over 153. While Leighton, who carded six birdies on the day, posted rounds of 76 and 77 to finish 9-over 153.
 
Marina Mata rounds out the Ags, as the sophomore carded rounds of 80 and 76 to finish with a two-round score of 12-over 156
 
UC Davis returns to the 6,191-yard, par 72 course tomorrow for the third and final round of the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic. To follow along:
