LAS VEGAS, NEV.– As round two of the women's golf Big West Championship concludes, the UC Davis Aggies remain in fifth place. Three Aggies occupy the top-20, one of which includes a top-5 seed. The Ags shot for a second-round score of 17-over 305 on Monday and overall have a two-round score of 31-over 607.
Skyler May paced for the Ags as she is tied for 4
th and remains in the top-5 of the Big West Championships. The sophomore carded three birdies and finished the second round at 2-over 74. May has a two-round score of 3-over 147.
Elle Rastvortsev and
Naomi Danner both finished in the top-20 after round-two, coincidentally both tied for 16
th.
Rastvortsev had the best round for the Ags, as the sophomore carded a 2-under 70 and fired for three birdies. Danner carded a birdie on the day, but finished the round at 8-over 80. Currently in the 16
th spot, the sophomores have a two-round score of 8-over 152.
Freshman
Lauren Calderon finished the second-round tied for 32
nd. Calderon fired for a pair of birdies, but would finish the day 9-over 81. Overall, Calderon has a two-round score of 15-over 159.
Abby Leighton rounds out the Ags as she is tied for 35
th after round-two. The sophomore carded a single birdie and ended the day at 9-over 81. In total, Leighton has a two-round score of 16-over 160
UC Davis returns to the Spanish Trail course for the third and final round of the Big West Championship tomorrow, Tuesday, April 17
