LOS ANGELES, Calif. --The UC Davis Aggies had a tough showing on Saturday, falling to the No. 19 UCLA Bruins by final score of 8-2.
Freshman Alejandro Huezo (1-2) started and took the loss on the mound for UC Davis (11-19). Junior Nate Freeman was a bright spot out of the bullpen, going two shutout innings while allowing three hits, walking none and striking out two.
Sophomore Mark Wolbert led the way offensively for the Aggies, going 2-for-2 in the ballgame with two walks. Junior Nick Iverson provided a noteworthy day at the plate as well, going 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Junior Damian Stone also contributed, going 1-for-2 for UC Davis with an RBI.
