San Luis Obispo, Calif.– The UC Davis Women's Beach Volleyball team started the Big West Conference Challenge with a victory over CSU Bakersfield.
 
After a tough weekend in the Grand Canyon Tournament in Phoenix. UC Davis comes back with a four-set win against the Roadrunners on day one of the Conference Challenge. The win pushes UC Davis' record to 10-4 on the season and adds another tally over the Roadrunners for an overall 5-1 series record.
 
The Ags pulled out the win by claiming quick victory in sets two and five. Courtesy of Colleen McGuire and Kylie Miller in the second. While Sydney Rau-Kim and Alicia Letvin commanded a victory in the fifth. However, the Aggies would fall in the fourth set. But, maintain their poise to take wins in the first and third sets.
 
Only the third set, led by Morgan Coolbaugh and Megan Luly would come to a tie-breaker. But, the duo would win out 15-8 and cement the Aggies 4-1 triumph over the Roadrunners.

UC Davis continues the Conference Challenge tomorrow against Long Beach State on Saturday at 11am. A second match later in the day versus Causeway rival Sacramento State at 2pm. Then, in a third match on Saturday they battle Hawai'i at 5pm.
