PHOENIX, Ariz. - The UC Davis Women's Beach Volleyball who went into the Grand Canyon Tournament 9-0, received its first loss of the season in a competitive 2-3 match against Texas A&M Corpus Christi.

However, the Islanders would come back and win two-straight sets for an overall 2-1 match advantage. The pair of sophomore
Morgan Coolbaugh and senior
Sam Lazenby were able to capture a win over Corpus Christi in the fourth flight.
At 2-2, only the fifth flight remained. The first set combined for 56 points as the Islanders narrowly escaped the Aggies 29-27. But, Corpus Christi was able to pull out the win in the next set and take the match.
UCD recedes to 9-1 on the season as Texas A&M ascends to 10-5.
