Davis, Calif.– The UC Davis beach volleyball team (4-0) played two matches Wednesday. The Aggies first match was a 5-0 sweep against the visiting University of Pacific Tigers (0-3). UC Davis concluded the day against Causeway rival Sacramento State Hornets (0-1) with a 3-2 victory.
 
At the UCD beach volleyball courts, the Aggies claimed victory in straight sets in all five matches versus Pacific, who didn't field for the fifth flight. UCD has beaten the University of the Pacific in all three meetings since 2019. This sweep marked three in a row for the Aggies.
 
UC Davis kept its lineup the same and played the Hornets at 4 p.m. UC Davis claimed three straight flights to beat the rival Hornets. Sacramento captured the first, in a competitive three sets, and fifth flights.
 
The pair of victories pushes UC Davis to a 4-0 start this season. Next, the Aggies take their talents to Santa Cruz Beach for the Santa Clara Tournament this Saturday. The first match is against the University of San Francisco at 11:00 a.m., followed by Sacramento State at 2:30 p.m., and ending with Saint Mary's College at 4:30 p.m.
