BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The UC Davis women's golf team opened the spring season in impressive fashion as the Aggies are in second place, four strokes off the lead with a 19-over, 301. San Francisco holds the lead at 15-over, 591 after two rounds at The Valley Invitational on Monday, held at the Bakersfield Country Club.
Three Aggies are in the top-10 after two rounds as
Elle Rastvortseva leads the charge with a tournament-leading 144 (E).
Abby Leighton is T4 with a 4-over 148. Newcomer
Lauren Calderon closely follows Leighton in ninth with a 5-over 149.
Naomi Danner is in 43
rd with a two-round score of 13-over, 157, while
Skyler May (56
th, 17-over, 161) and
Marina Mata follows in 71
st at 21-over, 165.
The Aggies will tee off at 8 am tomorrow with leader San Francisco.
