SACRAMENTO – UC Davis sophomore Abby Leighton secured the tournament title at the Causeway Invitational. Due to inclement weather, the tournament was suspended after one round. The Aggies finished seventh overall at the Del Paso Country Club.

Leighton fired a 2-under-70 and birdied four holes on the soaked course. The sophomore was 1-under on the front-nine with three birdies and then was 1-under on the back with a clean card, birding the par-5, 13^th.

Freshman Lauren Calderon was tied for 22^nd with a 3-over-75. Sophomore Skyler May finished in 41^st with a 6-over-78. Newcomer Keira Wang closely followed in 46^th with a 7-over-79.

Rounding out the Aggies were sophomores Naomi Danner and Marina Mata with 8-over-80s and classmate Elle Rastvortseva who carded an 11-over-83.

UC Davis will return to the course for the Anuenue Spring Break Classic on Monday, March 27.
