RANCHO SANTA FE – The UC Davis women's golf team opened day one of the San Diego State Classic in 10
th place on Monday. The Aggies fired back-to-back rounds of 312 to post a score of 48-over 624 at the Farms Golf Club.
Sophomore
Abby Leighton once again paces the Ags as she is tied for 13
th with a 6-over 150. After a slow start in the opening round, Leighton charged back up the leaderboard with a 1-under 71 in the second round.
Lauren Calderon started off strong with a 2-over 74 in the first round but suffered a setback in round two to drop to 14-over 158 to move to a tie for 36
th.
Sophomore
Skyler May is tied for 42
nd with a 15-over 159, while
Elle Rastvortseva is in 54
th with a 19-over 163 and
Naomi Danner rounds out the Ags with a 21-over 165 to sit in 56
th.
The Aggies will return to the par-72 6,254-yard course for the third and final round at 8 a.m.
