The Beach Spoils Johnson's 32 Point Night

Davis, Calif. — The second leg of the two game road trip saw the UC Davis Men's Basketball Team (13-9, 6-4) lose a nail biter to Long Beach State. Ending with a score of 75-72, the Aggies leaned heavily on the scoring prowess of Ty Johnson and Elijah Pepper who combined for 60 points. Tying his career-high, Johnson scored 32 points on 12-21 shooting from the field. This is the sixth 20+ point game for Johnson. The conference's steal leader also added three swipes during the game.

Elijah Pepper who has been red-hot as of late, recording double figures in seven straight games, scored 28 points on 7-20 shooting from the field. Pepper also had four steals, tying his season-high mark he set during the opener against Cal.

Providing pesky defense off the bench, Sione Losé tied the game-high with four steals and led UC Davis in box +/- with a +8 rating in 22 minutes of action.
