Box Score STANFORD, Calif.  –The Aggies continued their 2023 spring season as they traveled for a match against No. 8-ranked Stanford University. The host Cardinal downed UC Davis, 7-0 from the Taube Tennis Center on Thursday.
 
In singles play, the Cardinal won on every court, but the Aggies fought hard against four players ranked in the ITA Top 50 in the second sets on courts No. 1, No. 2, and No. 6.
 
On court 1, Yana Gurevich fell to ITA #38 Alexandra Yepifanova, 6-2, 6-1. On court 2, reigning Big West Player of the Week Arianna Stavropoulos lost to ITA #44 Alexis Blokhina 6-0, 6-3 and on court 6, newcomer Kaia Wolfe lost 6-0, 7-5 to Sara Choy.

In doubles action, the Cardinal won each match. The tightest match was match #3 between Carly Schwartzber and Michelle Zell of UC Davis and Sara Choy and Connie Ma of Stanford. Choy and Ma defeated Schwartzber and Zell 6-2.  

The Aggies return home tomorrow to the Marya Welch Tennis Center as they will host UC Santa Barbara in Big West Conference play. First serve is set for 1 pm.
