Verona, Wisc. — The Aggies finished off the Badger Invitational tied for 10th place. Over the entirety of the tournament UC Davis carded a 904 (+40) after shooting a combined 308 on day three.
Nebraska paced the field by finishing with a 1-under-par score after three days of play shooting a combined 863. Leigha Devine and Montgomery Ferreira were the top individuals in the tournament as both shot 7-under-par for a total of 209 shots through three days.
The Aggie lineup included Skyler May who finished tied for 31st after shooting a 78 (+6) on day three. Abby Leighton put together a round of 75 (+3) and placed tied for 34th. Lauren Calderon in her debut tied for 48th and shot a 75 (+3) during her last round. Elle Rastvortseva finished off with a round of 83 (+11) placing 56th while Naomi Danner shot an 80 (+8) on day three and placed 58th.
May carded two birdies on the final round of play when she three shot on the 381 yard, par 4, at hole seven and again three shooting the 378 yard, par 4, on hole 10. May has proven to be a quality add to this Aggies roster after transferring from Santa Clara.
Leighton recorded three birdies on the third and final day as she has continued to show consistent quality play on par 5's to start the year. Her most notable birdie came on hole 6's whopping 540 yard par 5.
Calderon finished the Badger Invitational with her best round of the tournament after turning in a 75. Outside of her one hiccup hole on 11, Calderon put together three birdies and showed off consistent play all weekend. A great start for the freshman in her collegiate debut.
Elle Rastvortseva and Naomi Danner rounded out the lineup for UC Davis. Rastvortseva carded one birdie on the final 18. After recording her first top-10 finish last week, Danner will look forward to leading the Aggies and build on her strong start to 2022 at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational in Tacoma, Washington.
