Newcomer May leads Aggies in first round of the year

Springville, Utah — The UC Davis Aggies kicked off the 2022-23 season at the Hobble Creek Fall Classic and currently sit at tied for 7th in the field of 18 teams. On the day, the Aggies were led by newcomer Skyler May who shot a two round score of 8-over-par (80-70). This score found herself in the top 20 among all players at the Hobble Creek Classic where she is currently tied for 17th among all individuals. 

UC Davis also had strong performances from the pair of Naomi Dinner (81-72) and Elle Rastvortseva (74-79) who both compiled an 11-over-par showing on the day over two rounds. 

Abby Leighton sits closely behind where her 12-over-par efforts has helped UC Davis remain in the upper half of the standings.

The final Aggie competing in the Hobble Creek Classic, Marina Mata also recorded a score of 23-over-par (85-80) and will look to build on a strong finish to help the Aggies going forward into Round Three.

UC Davis will pick up play at the Hobble Creek Classic tomorrow at 7:00 AM MST.
