MEN'S BASKETBALL
Mar. 10: UC Davis vs. Cal State Fullerton - 6 p.m.

News and Notables: The Aggies are moving on to the Big West Conference Tournament quarterfinals after defeating Cal Poly 63-53 on Tuesday night. UC Davis will face Cal State Fullerton and former Aggie Dedrique Taylor for a third time this season in Henderson, Nev. with a spot in one of the two semifinals on Friday on the line. The Aggies advanced to the semifinal round almost a year ago to the day in thrilling fashion, winning 58-56 over CSU Bakersfield on an Ezra Manjon lay-up. Manjon led the Aggies again on Tuesday with a team-high 17 points. 
 
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Mar. 9: UC Davis vs. Long Beach State - 8:30 p.m.

News and Notables: UC Davis' title defense begins on Wednesday in Henderson, Nev. against third-seeded Long Beach State. 2021-22 All-Freshman Team honoree Sydney Burns, All-Defensive Team member Sage Stobbart, All-Conference Honorable Mention Evanne Turner, and All-Conference First Teamer Cierra Hall lead a UC Davis team that split the regular season series with the Beach.

News and Notables:  UC Davis will get two straight home games after playing away from UC Davis Health Stadium for nearly three weeks. Stanford was ranked 25th in the most recent IWLCA poll. 
 
WOMEN'S WATER POLO
Mar. 11: UC Davis vs. Hawai'i - 6 p.m.

News and Notables: Fresh off a win over No. 16 Pacific, the Aggies host No. 5 Hawai'i on Friday evening to open Big West play. UC Davis held at No. 10 in the most recent CWPA rankings and Friday will be the Aggies' 18th game against a ranked opponent this season.

News and Notables: The Aggies host the Golden State Invitational with Sacramento State. UC Davis will welcome Saint Mary's, New Mexico State and San Francisco on Friday at the Marya Welch Tennis Center. The other matches in the tournament will be based on results from the first round. The Aggies won both their matches last weekend, blanking Portland State, 7-0, and defeated Seattle University, 6-1. Freshman Ryan Torres has now won eight straight matches and leads the team with 12 singles wins.    
 
GYMNASTICS

News and Notables: The UC Davis gymnastics team will head to UCLA for its final regular season meet of the year. The Aggies are coming off their third straight performance of 196 or better, downing Causeway rival Sacramento State, 196.225-195.400. Senior Kyla Kessler and freshman Keanna Abraham garnered MPSF weekly accolades as Kessler was named the gymnast of the week while Abraham was the specialist of the week. Kessler posted a career-high 39.425 in the all-around and equaled the school record on the floor with a 9.95. Abraham equaled the school record on the beam with a 9.925 and also posted a 9.925 on the floor.

News and Notables: The UC Davis softball team heads west to play five games in the Silicon Valley Classic Tournament, hosted by Santa Clara and San Jose State. The Aggies will play two games on Friday and Saturday and then close out tournament play on Sunday morning. UC Davis (6-11) is led at the plate by sophomore Anna Dethlefson and in the circle by sophomore Kenedi Brown and her 2.15 ERA in 12 appearances.

News and Notables: The UC Davis beach volleyball team heads to Waikiki to participate in the Outrigger Queen's Cup. The Aggies will take on three ranked opponents in No. 3 TCU, host No. 9-ranked Hawai'i and another matchup against No. 10 Cal. UC Davis is coming off a weekend split, blanking San Jose State, 5-0, and falling to No. 10 Cal, 4-1.

TRACK & FIELD
Mar. 11-12 UC Davis host 2022 Aggie Open (Woody Wilson Track - Davis, Calif.) - All Day

News and Notables: The UC Davis track & field team will open the outdoor season at the 2022 Aggie Open, held on Toomey Field and the Woody Wilson Track. The meet will begin with the hammer throw on Friday, March 11, with the majority of the events taking place on Saturday.
