Davis, Calif. — UC Davis Men's Basketball will be competing in their first MTE of the year when they travel to host Milwaukee for the "Cream City Classic" starting Saturday. The "Cream City Classic" will feature four schools as UC Davis is set to play Milwaukee, SEMO, and Boston University in a round-robin format. The Aggies recently claimed the Causeway Cup and iterated their own version of "the beam" after defeating Sacramento State at the Golden 1 Center Tuesday night. UC Davis Men's Basketball is 4-1 to start the season, their best mark since the historic 2016-17 season that saw the Aggies reach the NCAA Division 1 Tournament for the first time in school history.

SERIES HISTORY
The Aggies are 0-2 all-against Milwaukee with the last match dating back to Nov. 14, 2010 that saw UC Davis fall by a score of 73-62. Both matchups have come at a neutral site and this will be the first time either school has played at their home facility.
UC Davis in turn has never faced off against SEMO or Boston University and this week presents two new challenges for Jim Les and the Davis basketball program.
MBB NOTES
- Through five games, the Aggies have been led by the Senior leadership of Christian Anigwe, newcomer Ty Johnson, and Preseason All-Big West Selection Elijah Pepper who is on the verge of having his name etched into the Davis history books.
- Pepper has 989 career points after scoring 24 against Sacramento State last time out. If Pepper is to surpass the 1000 career scored points this weekend, he will be the 25th ever Aggie to join the elite list. Pepper would also go down as just the 10th member to do it during the Division 1 Era for UC Davis Men's Basketball.
- UC Davis sits atop of the Big West rankings with three other schools who all are also, 4-1 to start the year.
- The Aggies are averaging 79.4 points per game so far, good for 80th in the nation.
- A large contributor to this highly efficient offense is their pace of play, and ability to stretch out defenses. The Aggies clock in at 16th in the nation in three-point percentage as they are knocking down three's at a 41.7% clip.
- Toughness, versatility and depth has been a strong-suit for the Aggies this year as 9-11 guys have played in pretty much every game so far, displaying the trust and strength of play up and down Coach Les' rotation. Last game against Sacramento State, every Aggie that entered the game contributed with more than 10 minutes of playing time.
