Lakewood, Wash. — Consistency has reigned supreme as UC Davis women's golf is in 7th place after two rounds at the Pat Lesser Harbottle being played at Tacoma Country and Golf Club. The Aggies are 15-over-par and this has been fueled by the 18 birdies on the day collectively as a team.
Elle Rastvortseva has a team high five birdies after two rounds.
Abby Leighton leads the team currently and has started the tournament shooting a combined 2-over-par. She is tied for 17th place among individuals and her second round of the day was as textbook as it gets, as she recorded only one bogey, a big reason why UC Davis is among the top-10 right now.
Skyler May has continued to prove to be a valuable add to the program as she is tied for 35th place through two rounds at 5-over-par and will surely look to build on to this score tomorrow and try to catch Hailey Loh of CBU who is in the lead at 3-under-par.
Naomi Danner has had some bright moments through the first two rounds on day one, most notably, her second round performance of even-par which was highlighted by her three birdies through four holes during the second round. She is tied for 46th place and it surely feels like she should be a lot higher on the leader board than that. She'll look to build on her strong second round performance during round three.
Marina Mata rounded out the UC Davis lineup and put together two rounds of 5-over-par for a total of 10-over-par through 36 holes. She accumulated three birdies for the Aggies and will tee off again at 8:00AM tomorrow to try and help propel the Ags up the standings.
