COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The UC Davis gymnastics team recorded a season-high score of 195.075 to take down host Air Force and Alaska Anchorage, Sunday afternoon from the Air Force Academy.
Senior
Kyla Kessler once again led the Aggies by winning the vault (9.825) and the beam (9.875) to carry UC Davis to the road victory.
Freshman
Keanna Abraham also posted a 9.825 in the vault to help the Aggies score 48.850 in the event. Five of the top six belonged to UC Davis in the vault. Three of the top four were Aggies in the beam as sophomore
Emma Otsu placed third with a score of 9.775.
In the bars, junior
Thea Michovsky was the runner-up with a score of 9.825. UC Davis boasted a 49.050 on the floor as freshman
Megan Ray finished tied for second with a score of 9.875.
UC Davis will return home to host San Jose State on Sunday, Feb. 6.
