AGGIE STORYLINES…
• A busy week continues for UC Davis, which is coming off a tie for sixth place at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic in Arizona on Tuesday (April 6).
• The Aggies opened the Cowboy Classic with an opening-round 283 — a season low and the lowest team round since shooting 282 in the second round of the Marquette Intercollegiate at Erin Hills on Oct. 7, 2019.
• True freshman Alejandro Nava shot a collegiate-best 70 in the opening round of the Cowboy Classic, besting his previous low of 72 set during the second round of The Goodwin on March 26.
• Nava's 217 was also a collegiate low, as was his tie for 39th in the standings.
• Returning freshman Lucas Carper also came home with a collegiate best in the final round in Arizona, finishing the tournament with a 5-under 67 — one shot better than his previous low set in the final round of this year's The Prestige — and a season-low 54-hole total of 217.
• Returning junior Thomas Hutchison finished in a season-best tie for 28th at the Cowboy Classic, posting a season-low 54-hole score of 215, which is also the lowest by an Aggie this year.
• Hutchison leads the team with six rounds at par or better.
• Returning sophomore Daniel Kim logged his fifth career round in the 60s with his second round 69 at the Cowboy Classic.
• Returning freshman Jacob Westberg continues to lead the team with a 73.08 scoring average, mere points ahead of Hutchison's 73.33 average through four events.
