Sophia Noble collected a total of 29 saves with seven goals again, center
Noelle Wijnbelt scored five total goals while freshman
Tess Fundter provided another four tallies, as 10th-ranked UC Davis women's water polo swept unranked Fresno Pacific by scores of 17-2 and 13-5 in a collegiate women's water polo doubleheader at Schaal Aquatics Center Saturday afternoon.
The Aggies improve to 11-5 for the season. The Sunbirds fall to 0-9.
UC Davis also honored its three 2021 graduates prior the the game: center
McKenna Martin, utility
Devin Holcomb and attacker
Kathleen Schafle. Martin and Holcomb each started both contests, while Schafle medically retired prior to the season.
Noble played all 64 minutes of the twinbill in the Aggie cage, holding the FPU offense in check to the tune of 2-for-26 in the opener and 5-for-25 in the nightcap. In fact, she only allowed three goals until the fourth quarter of Game 2, before Sunbird attacker Amy Zaninovich led a charge with two of four power-play conversions.
Wijnbelt posted the lone hat trick of the day in the 17-2 Game 1 win.

Julia Hartmann each had two goals in the Game 2 victory.
UC Davis never trailed in either contest, holding a 5-0 lead through the first quarter in each. The two goals allowed in the opener is the lowest by an Aggie opponent since UC Davis defeated Sonoma State by a 22-2 final back on February 25, 2018.
The Aggies resume Big West Conference play with a Friday-Saturday road trip to Hawai'i next weekend. The Friday contest, which begins at 9 p.m. Pacific time, counts in the standings for the conference championships, held a week later at UC San Diego.
