SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – Cal Poly did not score a single point in overtime during Saturday's Big West Conference game in San Luis Obispo, and Caleb Fuller's hook shot in that extra period became the game-winning points that helped UC Davis record its second-straight weekend sweep by defeating the Mustangs, 68-66.

In addition to improving UC Davis' record to 8-6 overall and 5-3 against Big West teams, that result pushed its current win streak to five games, its head-to-head win streak vs. CP to eight and marked the 15th victory against the Mustangs in the last 17 played.

Fuller showed everyone inside the Mott Athletics Center why he is ranked No. 6 among all league players at the free throw line this season by connecting on both shots, with four seconds left in regulation, to tie the game at 66 apiece and send the Aggies to their third overtime game of the season.

Even though Cal Poly sent Fuller to the line with a late foul, it was a Mustang turnover that took place beforehand, with 13 seconds remaining, that initially created an opportunity for UC Davis to tie or win the game in regulation.

In Friday's series opener, the Ags forced CP to commit 18 turnovers; in Saturday's matchup, UC Davis forced another 24 miscues — a season-high total for the Mustangs, who fell to 3-17 overall and 1-13 against league opponents, and the most committed by an Aggie opponent this season.

UC Davis held the lead for 41 of the game's 45 minutes, thanks to those additional scoring opportunities created off CP's miscues since the Aggies scored 26 of their points off turnovers.

Ezra Manjon led UC Davis in scoring by recording his fourth 20-point game of the season by finishing with that exact total. By hitting three of his five shots from three and all four free throws,Elijah Pepper ended his day with 17 points, in addition his six rebounds. Damion Squire connected on half of his 10 shots, and both at the line, to finish with 13.

Led by Kennedy Koehler's nine, the Aggies also won the battle of the boards by a 41-34 overall result and a seven-rebound margin (15-8) on the offensive glass. Each team finished with 26 defensive rebounds.

Starting with Friday's 4 p.m. contest on Bob Hamilton Court, UC Davis will host Hawai'i for its final games of the regular season. Saturday's regular season finale will also tip-off at 4 p.m.,; basketball fans can watch both games from the Pavilion on BigWest.TV, listen to Scott Marsh's call on Sports 1140 KHTK or through the station's TuneIn Radio channel.
