DAVIS, CA -- Senior Katie Toole finished with a game-high 10 points to lead three UC Davis players in double figures, and sophomore Sage Stobbart added game-high honors with 10 rebounds, helping the Aggies erase a five-point third quarter deficit en route to a 66-63 victory over visiting UC Santa Barbara on Saturday afternoon at The Pavilion.

UC Davis won its sixth consecutive game to remain atop the Big West Conference standings, improving to 11-9 overall and 6-1 in play following the victory. Saturday marked the 26th consecutive home conference win for the Aggies, who limited the Gauchos to just 31 percent from the floor in the second half to help power their comeback.

Led by 19 points from Danae Miller -- one of four UCSB players in double figures -- the Gauchos fell to 8-12 overall and 3-4 in league play.

After being held to single digits in each of the last two games, Toole exploded for her fourth 20-point performance of the year, hitting 5-of-10 from the field and 8-of-9 from the line, adding a pair of rebounds. Senior psychology major Sophia Song tacked on 11 points off the bench -- including three key makes from the line in the final 44 seconds -- and freshman neurobiology, physiology & behavior major Evanne Turner helped out with 10 points.

Stobbart, who opened by scoring the Aggies' first eight points of the game, posted her third double-digit rebound performance in her last five games, while junior Cierra Hall added four points, six rebounds (four on the offensive end), and a team-high five assists.

The UC Davis offense was very productive from downtown, making 10 threes on 23 attempts. Four different Aggies finished with a pair from deep as UC Davis posted its 10th game this year with at least 10 makes from beyond the arc.

UC Davis did a great job disrupting UCSB shots in the contest, coming away with six blocks. Stobbart's two rejections led the way individually for the Aggies.

UC Davis kept it close in the first quarter, but entered the second frame down 18-16.

UCSB kept adding to that lead, building a 23-17 advantage before UC Davis went on an 8-0 run, highlighted by a bucket from Hall, to take a 25-23 lead. The Gauchos then came roaring back to take a 33-32 lead heading into halftime.

UCSB continued to increase its lead after halftime, building a 46-41 advantage before UC Davis went on a 9-0 run, punctuated by a basket from Song, to grab a 50-46 lead with two seconds to go in the third. UC Davis knocked down three three-pointers in the quarter to score nine of its 18 total points.

UCSB proceeded to take a 59-57 lead before UC Davis went on a 6-0 run to seize a 63-59 lead with 3:01 to go in the contest. The Gauchos narrowed the margin somewhat before the game was over, but the Aggies still held on for the 66-63 win. UC Davis got a boost from its bench in the period, with reserves scoring five of its 16 total points.

UC Davis returns to the road with a trip to Southern California next week, taking on Cal State Fullerton (Feb. 6) and UC Irvine (Feb. 8).
