DAVIS, Calif. — UC Davis men's and women's basketball will pause competition, until further notice, to remain compliant with new Yolo County health orders, as announced by Director of Athletics
Kevin Blue on Saturday. Women's basketball will no longer host Fresno Pacific on Dec. 6 or face Sacramento State on Dec. 8; due to updated travel restrictions, men's basketball's Dec. 8 game at California Baptist University is also cancelled.
The four-time reigning Big West women's basketball champions have not played since an 82-75 season-opening victory over San Francisco at The Pavilion on Nov. 25. Since then, games against Simpson University (Nov. 28) and Santa Clara (Dec. 3) were cancelled due to COVID precautions within those programs.
After opening its season on Nov. 25 with three games in Santa Clara at the Bronco Invitational, men's basketball won its second straight game in last night's home opener versus William Jessup.
