Aggies to open four-game road set against Ball State

Following their season opening win over Quinnipiac on September 1, the Aggies head out on the first of three multi-game road trips before their return to Aggie Field Hockey Facility on October 8 against Eastern Michigan. First up is a neutral site matchup against Ball State at Michigan State on Thursday. The Aggies will then face Michigan State and Louisville on the same East Lansing field before traveling to Mount Pleasant to face Central Michigan.

This will be the first meeting between the two teams at a neutral site. They previously played all three games at Ball State in Muncie, Indiana. 

ABOUT THE CARDINALS: Ball State enters Thursday's game with a 1-1 record, defeating Davidson (0-2) and falling to No. 19 Rutgers (2-0)… Redshirt Junior Sierra Jefferson leads the Cardinals with 1 goal and 4 shots on goal through two games…Redshirt Senior Michelle Hampton has the Cardinals' other goal on her only shot of the season so far…Junior Abby Ferenczy also has one assist. 

AGGIE QUICK HITS…
• The Aggies opened the regular season with a win for the second time in Head Coach Britt Broady's three seasons with September 1st's 1-0 win over Quinnipiac. 
• UC Davis will be looking to match last season's 2-0 start, which was the best for the program since a 3-0 start to the 2012 season. 
• With her four saves against Quinnipiac, senior Chelsea Bigelow extended her school record in that category to 278. 
• In last season's matchup in Muncie, the Aggies' five goals marked the most scored in Broady's tenure and tied for the third most in program history. 

ROAD WARRIORS
• With four games in Michigan, the Aggies kick off a stretch of nine straight games away from Aggie Field Hockey Facility and 13 overall on the season. 
• The Aggies' four home games are their fewest since playing four at home in 2013 and three in 2011.
