UC Davis Equestrian and Head Coach
Jessie Weisinger will hold an informational meeting for prospective riders on September 26 at 6:30 p.m. ahead of open tryouts in October.
Prospective athletes are encouraged to preregister with Coach Weisinger via email to jweisinger@ucdavis.edu. Athletes must send their UC Davis email address, which event they are interested in, their first and last name as well as fill out the equestrian recruiting questionnaire found
here. The deadline to preregister is Wednesday, September 25.
The team is currently looking for individuals interested in competing in Hunter Seat Equitation over fences and on flat and Western Horsemanship and Reining.
To participate in tryouts, prospective athletes must be enrolled in at least 12 units during the Fall 2019 quarter, complete all necessary NCAA compliance forms, complete a physical examination and submit the required medical form to the UC Davis Athletics Training office in the Pavilion as well as provide proof of sickle cell test results.
The first step of tryouts will be the informational meeting on September 26th at the Equestrian Center. Coach Weisinger will go over the ins and outs of the National Collegiate Equestrian Association, UC Davis equestrian team expectations, and all the necessary paperwork and procedures for tryouts.
Coach Weisginer will be able to provide all the necessary paperwork upon receiving your initial email.
