SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Sophomore
Kelley Hebert tied for second place in the individual floor exercise with a 9.850 score while compiling a team-leading 39.000 all-around total, helping UC Davis to a 194.525 in a women's collegiate gymnastics meet at the Event Center Friday night.
The Aggies edged Mountain Pacific Sports Federation rival San Jose State, which scored a 194.175 total. No. 9 Boise State won the overall team race with a 196.525.
Hebert's 9.850 on floor was the highest score and top individual finish by any UC Davis gymnast on any apparatus for the evening. The human development major and Edge Gymnastics alumna added a 9.775 on vault and a 9.750 on the balance beam en route to her second 39-point effort of the season.Â

Sarah Liddle turned in beam scores of 9.825 and 9.800, respectively. Liddle and sophomore
Kyla Kessler each scored 9.750s on bars to open the meet. Kessler also made her all-around debut for the season, amassing a four-event total of 38.775.
UC Davis kicked off the night with a 48.450 on bars, put up a 48.675 on beam, then hit matching 48.700s on both floor and vault in the meet's second half.
Boise State claimed the individual winner on all four events, plus the all-around. The Broncos also swept the top four places on beam and the top five on bars, with sophomore Emily Muhlenhaupt notching a 9.925 in the latter. BSU senior and Loomis native Shani Remme won the individual all-around at 39.400 in front of a NorCal crowd.
The Aggies return to action in a road meet at Alaska Anchorage on February 9. Meet time is 2 p.m. local.
