DAVIS, Calif. — For the first time in 41 years, UC Davis will head to New Mexico to compete in its final road non-conference game of the season. Tipoff inside Dreamstyle Arena — The Pit will take place on Sunday at 1 p.m. PT/2 p.m. MT.
A free video stream of the third all-time game between the Aggies and Lobos is available on the Mountain West Network. Sports 1140 KHTK will carry Scott Marsh's courtside call; an internet audio broadcast is also available on the station's TuneIn channel.

This is the first post-holidays game for each team and the penultimate Big West tune-up for the Aggies. After they return home from Albuquerque, one more game remains before UC Davis opens league play at home, versus UC Riverside, on January 9.
New Mexico is already 2-0 against Mountain West teams after defeating Boise State and Wyoming earlier this month, and will resume conference play at San José State, on New Year's Day, following this matchup.
A young UC Davis roster, which includes a combined 10 freshmen and sophomores, will continue to improve and prepare for its Big West schedule thanks to a challenging non-conference slate that continues this weekend against New Mexico. When the Aggies face the Lobos on Sunday, they will battle a team that is riding a seven-game win streak, holds a 9-0 record at home for the first time since the 2010-11 season, and enjoying an undefeated month of December.
Head coach
Jim Les is preparing his team to compete in a challenging environment by heading to New Mexico, a decision that could pay dividends in March at the Big West Tournament. The Aggies need to become comfortable playing in a noisy and intimidating environment, and Dreamstyle Arena — The Pit provides this opportunity.
Known as one of the loudest facilities in college basketball, Dreamstyle Arena — The Pit sits nearly a mile above sea level and averaged 95 percent of capacity since it opened in 1966.
