DAVIS, Calif. - Numerous events are taking place in and around Aggie Stadium on Saturday (Sept. 8) with UC Davis hosting its first football game of the season. In a segment featured on UCDavisAggies.com every Friday before game day, included below is what Aggie fans need to know before they head to campus this weekend.
1.) Starting at 11 a.m., the ARC Pavilion will host Saturday's Celebration of Life, honoring Aggie legend Fred Arp. Former UC Davis Athletics Communications director Mike Robles will emcee this event, which is open to the public. A hosted reception will follow.
2.) The following events will take place at the listed times:
Aggie Stadium Box Office opens – 10 a.m.
Tailgate Lot and Lot 56 opens – 3 p.m.
General parking lots open – 4 p.m.
Team AGGIE tent opens – 4 p.m.
Aggie Walk (team walks through tailgate to locker room) – 5 p.m.
Aggie Stadium's gates open – 6 p.m.
Team AGGIE tent closes – 6:30 p.m.
Kickoff – 7 p.m.
Junior Aggie Stampede – Halftime; fans ages 3-13 need to meet at the UC Davis Athletics booth, located near the main entrance, with five minutes left in the second quarter
Box Office closes – Start of the third quarter
Shortly after the game ends – Fans can take the field and interact with UC Davis football student-athletes and coaches
3. If you are a UC Davis football alum, university faculty/staff member or have kids ages 12 and under, take advantage of various ticket offers that are available:
Youth Day: Aggie football fans ages 12 and under can receive free admission by

Football Alumni Day: UC Davis football alums are invited to participate in the first tailgate of the season, which includes food and beverages provided by Team Aggie, starting at 4 p.m. inside the Team Aggie tent on the main tailgate lot.
A special ticket is available for football alums, their guests and children under the age of 12 by

Faculty/Staff Appreciation Day: UC Davis faculty and staff are invited to enjoy the first home game of the season, thanks to a partnership involving Staff Assembly and Intercollegiate Athletics. As part of this year's Staff Appreciation Day, free tickets and tailgate are available for UC Davis employees by
clicking here and entering the code STAFFAGGIEPRIDE18.
4.) Light snacks or modest amounts of food for personal consumption such as sliced/quartered fruit, cookies, chips, crackers, nuts and sandwiches are allowed at Aggie Stadium.
Factory-sealed bottled water, sealed single-serving juice boxes and baby formula/food, plus food from stadium vendors at the tailgate is also permitted. Food should be able to fit into a backpack or hand bag.
5.) If football fans encounter any automotive issues before, during or after the game, UC Davis' Motorist Assistance Program is available. Put this free service to use by calling (530) 752-8277.
