BERKELEY, Calif. — Shirley Hall and Kelsie Bryant were the only two Aggies in action today, winning their extra doubles match Sunday morning, before falling in the Gold Singles main draw semifinals, and Gold Singles consolation semifinals, respectively.
Hall and Bryant partnered for the first time in their careers to defeat Cal's Maria Smith and Jasie Dunk in an extra consolation doubles match, 8-6. Smith and Dunk had just won the Gold doubles title over a BYU team by default. Smith went on to claim the Gold singles title later in the afternoon.
Aggie women's tennis returns to the road on Friday, Oct. 5, to compete in the St. Mary's Invitational in Moraga, Calif.
