DAVIS, Calif. - This year's Give Day, a 29-hour online fundraising drive for the entire campus, will begin on Friday (April 20) at 12 p.m., conclude Saturday (April 21) at 5 p.m., and take place in conjunction with Picnic Day.
Join fellow Aggies online and on campus this weekend to celebrate this year's Give Day theme, "Every Aggie counts: Combined, we change the world," and support the University's student-athletes.
Last season, no department raised more money than Intercollegiate Athletics; with your help, this achievement can take place once again. No matter the size, every gift helps UC Davis continue to provide a world-class experience that provides the best combination of academic programs, athletics opportunities and personal growth.
"UC Davis is entering a new era of strength, from research labs to the athletic fields, and philanthropy is making all the difference as we reach toward even greater heights," said Chancellor Gary S. May. "Together on Give Day, students, faculty, staff, friends of the university and more will come together to show their support during this incredibly important time in UC Davis history."
As was the case in last year's inaugural event, additional challenges are available thanks to the generosity of numerous individuals, families, companies and organizations. Each gift made to a team, fund or initiative is one step closer towards triggering an additional gift when a goal is reached.
For example, if 100 UC Davis and/or UC Davis Health employees make a gift to the department's general Give Day option, their impact will multiply since that goal will activate an additional $10,000 gift from American Pacific Mortgage.
Additional questions that are commonly asked before and during Give Day, with respective answers, are available here. Every donor, no matter the size of the gift counts, because combined, this support will help UC Davis Athletics create an environment that helps student-athletes succeed, chase their dreams and accelerate a process of personal growth that has a lifelong impact.
