DAVIS, Calif. -- Fans and supporters of the UC Davis women's basketball program are invited to help celebrate a historic and record-setting 2017-18 campaign during its annual postseason banquet on Sunday, April 29, at the UC Davis Conference Center Ballroom at 2:30 p.m.

Parents, alumnae, and fans, are invited to join Head Coach Jennifer Gross, the coaching staff, and student-athletes at the event, which costs $30 per person, or you can sponsor a player's meal for the same price. Those who wish to attend can RSVP online by clicking here.

The Aggies finished their finest Division I season with a 28-7 overall record and a trip to the "Elite Eight" of the Women's National Invitation Tournament -- advancing further into the postseason than any UC Davis squad in the program's Division I history -- after claiming its second consecutive Big West Conference regular season title.

Finishing the year winning 18 of their final 22 games and wrapping up a postseason that saw the team travel more than 7,500 round-trip miles for three games, the Aggies also hosted Idaho in the WNIT first round for the program's first home postseason game in its Division I history.

UC Davis set or tied 11 school single-season records with its performance this past year, while the 28 victories are the second-most in school history.

Gross was named the Big West Coach of the Year for the second straight year and was one of 10 finalists for the WBCA National Coach of the Year award. Record-setting junior forward Morgan Bertsch was named to the All-Big West first team, seniors Pele Gianotti and Rachel Nagel earned second team laurels, senior Dani Nafekh was an honorable mention selection, and newcomer Cierra Hall was named to the all-freshman team.
