DAVIS, Calif. – After Saturday's heartbreaker at Arizona, UC Davis could not wait to return to the court, and who could blame them? It took the Wildcats' best shot, on their home court (one of the most hostile environments in the country), and were one bounce away from handing UA a rare home loss.

And now that the team's break is over, it is ready to continue its three-game holiday road trip Friday night at Loyola Marymount.

UC Davis basketball fans can watch the second all-time matchup between the Aggies and Lions on TheW.TV, listen live on Sports 1140 KHTK or the station's TuneIn channel by searching "KHTK."

In addition to those links, additional ones for live stats and in-game Twitter updates are all available at UCDavisAggies.com.

November 16, 2008, was the last, and only previous game involving these teams, one that took place in Ames, Iowa, in the finale of the World Vision Classic. That afternoon, UC Davis jumped out to a 9-4 lead early in the game, and enjoyed a 10-0 run to defeat the Lions, 64-55.

Just over 10 years later, the Aggies will look for a similar result when it visits Gersten Pavilion for the first time in program history to face another team coming off a tough loss of its own.

Before the holiday break, the Lions suffered their second loss of the season, against another Big West team, when UC Riverside earned a 60-53 home victory on Dec. 22. That result snapped LMU's three-game win streak, which began after UCLA handed the team its first loss of the season.

Prior to that result against the Bruins, the Lions opened the season with eight straight wins.

As of Dec. 27, Loyola Marymount is tied for second place in the West Coast Conference, alongside Gonzaga with matching 11-2 records.

Once Friday's game is over, the Aggies will have played three of the league's top four teams this year, a list that includes San Francisco, which currently sits in first place, and San Diego, the conference's fourth place team.

Series Record: UC Davis leads 1-0
Last UC Davis Win: 11/16/08 - N, 64-55
Last Loyola Marymount Win: N/A
