MORAGA, Calif. — Junior Kelsie Bryant and sophomore Sara Tsukamoto claimed the Flight A consolation doubles crown on day 3 of the 2018 SMC Fall Invite.
Bryant and Tsukamoto did not have a match to play in the final round of the top doubles flight, as the semifinal between Fresno State and St. Mary's ended in a double-default.
Junior Nikita Pradeep and sophomore Shirley Hall started the match on serve against Sonoma's Jensyn Warren and Carolyn Brooner, but were unable to close the gap, falling 8-3. Warren and Brooner upset the No. 1 seeds en route to the final.
Sophomore Jessica Walker went up against Sacramento State's Shamika Dhar in the Flight C singles final, but fell 6-2, 6-2.
UC Davis women's tennis will have a weekend off, before competing at the ITA Northwest Regional, hosted at Stanford, Oct. 19-23.
