IRVINE, Calif. - Coming off its first-ever appearance at the NCAA Tournament, UC Davis, the defending conference champion, will be featured in as many as four league games throughout the 2017-18 season when conference and ESPN officials announced this year's men's basketball Wild Card schedule on Tuesday.

Throughout league play, the conference will use a "Wild Card" format to select games; official announcements will take place 2-4 weeks before tipoff.

Of these four potential games, the Pavilion will host two matchups: Saturday, Feb. 24 when the Aggies host UC Riverside and Thursday, March 1, against Hawai'i -- the program's Senior Night and final home game of the season.

ESPN, and its family of networks, have visited the Pavilion in each of the last five seasons.

Other potential Wild Card games during the Aggies' upcoming Big West schedule include road contests at Hawai'i (Jan. 20) and at Long Beach State (Feb. 3).

The Big West and ESPN also revealed tipoff times for games taking place throughout the Big West Tournament, hosted by the Honda Center in Anaheim. ESPNU will air both semifinal matchups (March 9) at 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.; the first game will broadcast live on WatchESPN and delayed until after the live televised airing of the late game concludes. ESPN2's live showing of the following day's championship game will begin at 9 p.m.

UC Davis' 2017-18 campaign will begin on Nov. 13 at Northern Colorado -- the first of a season-opening five-game road swing that also includes another rivalry game vs, Sacramento State at the Golden 1 Center, the state-of-the-art downtown home of the Sacramento Kings. A home-and-home series against Northern Colorado will conclude on Nov. 29 when the Aggies compete inside the Pavilion for the first time this year.
