DAVIS, Calif. - With its season-long homestand now over, women's tennis will enter a portion of its schedule that included road trips in five of its next six duals, starting with Friday's event in Reno. After the Aggies face the Wolf Pack, they will end the weekend in Moraga with another non-conference contest against Saint Mary's.
UC Davis is riding a five-match win streak for the second time this spring, and will have an opportunity to extend this to a season-high six matches when it faces Nevada at 11 a.m. on Friday. After opening its season with nine road matches in a row, the Wolf Pack will host the Aggies in their home opener before heading to Stockton on Sunday.
Of those nine road duals, Nevada emerged victorious on four occasions.
Two days later, UC Davis will return to Moraga for the second time this season - the Saint Mary's Fall Invitational was the second of three fall tournaments involving the Aggies - to face a Gaels squad that has won three of its last five played.
Sunday's dual is the first of four straight home matches or SMC; also visiting the Timothy Korth Tennis Complex throughout the team's season-long homestand are Sacramento State, Pepperdine and Loyola Marymount.
Senior Parminder Kaur is the lone SMC player with a winning singles dual record; all four of her victories, and one of her losses, took place at the No. 6 position. Kaur dropped her only singles match played at No. 5 this spring.
UC Davis' doubles teams will square off against Emma Critser/Danielle McIntyre and Kareena Manji/Jana McCord - Saint Mary's pairings who enter the weekend with matching 4-3 records at No. 1 and No. 2.
