DAVIS, Calif. - UC Davis is one win away from posting its second undefeated home record in the last three seasons, and providing the perfect ending for five graduating seniors -- J.T. Adenrele, Darius Graham, Brynton Lemar, Georgi Funtarov and Lawrence White -- competing in their final home game as an Aggie.
The program will honor its senior class during Thursday's pregame ceremony; each student-athlete will participate in a postgame ceremony where each will take the mic and individually speak to fans in attendance.
Hawai'i, the defending regular season champions, enters Thursday night's matchup tied for third, with an opportunity to finish as high as tied for second depending on the outcomes of its final two games. Since the program is currently ineligible for postseason play, and is awaiting a ruling from the NCAA regarding its appeal, its games at UC Davis, and on Saturday at Long Beach State could dramatically reorganize the matchups at next week's Big West Tournament.
Coming off their thrilling overtime victory vs. Long Beach State, in a game televised across the country on ESPNU, the Aggies would love nothing more than to end its current season-long three-game homestand with a win. Doing so will give the team its fifth victory in the last seven games heading into Saturday's 3 p.m. regular season finale at UC Irvine.
Hawai'i will enter the Pavilion with wins in six of their last eight games, and three of their last four played on the road. Since UH plays a majority of its games at the Stan Sheriff Center each season thanks to a non-conference schedule filled with home tournaments, those three road victories are the only one earned by the Rainbow Warriors this year.
UC Davis enters Thursday's game with wins in all 10 games played on Hamilton Court this season; Hawai'i split its six prior road games.
Series Record: Hawai'i leads 6-4
Last UC Davis Win: 76-70; 1/21/17 at Hawai'i
Last Hawai'i Win: 67-65; 3/3/16 at UC Davis
Series Streak: UC Davis +1
